Beginning Tuesday, our PTA will sponsor a Holiday Boutique this week. \u00a0All items are $2.00. \u00a0If you would like your child to purchase gifts for your family, please send in the appropriate amount of money in the envelop that was sent home last Friday. \u00a0You may want to list the names of those for whom your child is purchasing. \u00a0The students enjoy “shopping” all by themselves!<\/p>\n
Tuesday-Since tomorrow is LATE START I will be taking lunch count today for tomorrow. \u00a0If your child is buying lunch tomorrow you may want to discuss lunch choices for our lunch count.<\/p>\n

READING-Our Unit is “What’s For Dinner?”<\/p>\n
Word \u00a0“have” \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Letter \u00a0 “C \u00a0c”<\/p>\n
The students are moving along nicely in Reading Groups. \u00a0We do so many “things” in groups. \u00a0I assess their Comprehension, their Accuracy when reading, their Retelling skills, their Fluency with reading a known text, etc. I also assess their use of different reading strategies when they read.<\/p>\n
WRITING-We return to Narrative Writing. \u00a0They did well with Informational Writing, identifying the main idea and some details. ” Where can we find those details? \u00a0Pictures? \u00a0Text?”<\/p>\n
MATH-Our District Math Assessment will be this week. \u00a0In our daily lessons we will be identifying different shapes, patterns with the shapes, counting to 50 with different starting numbers. \u00a0For example, “13, 14, 15, …..to 50” \u00a0or “32, 33, 34, …to 50.”<\/p>\n
SCIENCE-We will continue with Magnets.<\/p>\n
SOCIAL STUDIES-We will continue with NEEDS AND WANTS.<\/p>\n

I didn’t post last night because my daughter gave birth to a beautiful daughter! \u00a0We now have 3 granddaughters (7, 3, & newborn) and\u00a01 \u00a0grandson ( 3 years 0ld). \u00a0Life is wonderful! \u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
