{"id":164,"date":"2013-12-05T15:49:55","date_gmt":"2013-12-05T20:49:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/smiths\/?p=164"},"modified":"2013-12-05T15:49:55","modified_gmt":"2013-12-05T20:49:55","slug":"last-day-for-can-drive","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/smiths\/2013\/12\/05\/last-day-for-can-drive\/","title":{"rendered":"Last day for Can Drive"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tomorrow will be our last day for Howard School to collect for Gleaners Food Drive. \u00a0As of today, our class has collected 80 cans. \u00a0The students are excited to see the total increase every morning. \u00a0Thank you for your generosity.<\/p>\n<p>Today we worked with\u00a0<strong>problem\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>solution.<\/strong> \u00a0Tonight when you are reading with your child have them identify the\u00a0<strong>problem and solution<\/strong> of the stories. \u00a0Both\u00a0<strong>problem<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>solution\u00a0<\/strong>should each be stated in one sentence, not several sentences. \u00a0(We don&#8217;t a summary of the story&#8230;that&#8217;s next month!)<\/p>\n<p>BUDDIES-Our third grade Buddies visited us today and helped us glue the links on our bell. \u00a0Lots of math went into the bell! Individual bell links, total class links, how many red strips, how many green strips, and we whisper counted from 11-20 while we held each glued strip. \u00a0That way we could practice counting through those &#8220;tricky teens.&#8221; \u00a0The first link comes off tonight. \u00a0Excitement is beginning to mount in here and the bell\/links added to the day. \u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tomorrow will be our last day for Howard School to collect for Gleaners Food Drive. \u00a0As of today, our class has collected 80 cans. \u00a0The students are excited to see the total increase every morning. \u00a0Thank you for your generosity.
