Today your student is bringing home “a book” that they made titled\u00a0I Can…<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Please have your child get it out of their backpack and read it to you. \u00a0I repeat,\u00a0Let them get it out of the backpack.<\/strong> Teaching independence. \u00a0They can do it. \u00a0I am looking for following directions<\/span> as I teach them how to make the letters and looking for attempts at writing, drawing, etc. \u00a0Most did very well. \u00a0I am pleased at their listening, watching, and imitating skills. \u00a0It also shows me that they realize this is school and a time to learn. \u00a0Excellent.<\/p>\n We had MUSIC class today…always fun. \u00a0It was too wet for a recess and we were so busy with our book that we didn’t get to Centers either. \u00a0We were busy in here.<\/p>\n Of course we had lunch! \u00a0Again, they were asking at 9:30 “When’s lunch? \u00a0I’m hungry.”<\/p>\n I’m very impressed at their readiness, both academically and socially. \u00a0Arrivals and dismissals are going well too. \u00a0They are a great bunch. \u00a0As I shared with some of my friends last Tuesday (first day), I’ve already fallen in love with them.<\/p>\n Thanks for your support on the home front. \u00a0One more day of 12:15 dismissal.<\/p>\n Looking ahead…<\/p>\n Monday, Sept. 12 \u00a0NO SCHOOL<\/p>\n Tuesday, Sept. 13 HOWARD WELCOME BACK PICNIC \u00a04:00-6:00<\/p>\n Thursday, Sept. 15 OPEN HOUSE 6:00-7:30 \u00a0Parents and students are welcome to visit the classroom, meet me, and tour the school.<\/p>\n Enjoy your weekend.<\/p>\n Mrs. Smith<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Another busy and HOT day in here. \u00a0Bring on the Snow!
