October is here! \u00a0Can you believe that we’ve already been in school for 16 days? \u00a0My Student Teacher, Miss Brennan, commented to me today about how the students have already settled into a routine and “look how much they can do now.” \u00a0I told her, “Wait till you see them in the Spring!”<\/p>\n
Here’s what is coming up next week…<\/p>\n
READING-Our unit theme is\u00a0Families Get Together. \u00a0<\/strong>What can families do together? We’ll read a\u00a0folktale<\/strong> about a “Squeaky Old Bed” and a\u00a0Non-fiction\u00a0<\/strong>book about\u00a0Night Animals.<\/strong> \u00a0On Friday we’ll compare the two texts.<\/p>\n WRITING-Forming letters correctly and we’ll write about a time when they did something with their family.<\/p>\n WORDS-The \u00a0the \u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n LETTERS-A a \u00a0<\/strong>(pronounced “ahh”)<\/p>\n MATH-We’ll be using 10 Frames- a rectangle with 5 boxes on the top row and 5 boxes underneath.
