We are almost at the end of our first grade voyage.  After this week, we only have one more full week of assignments in June and we will be out for the summer break.  Everyone is doing a great job with fulfilling all of the required assignments and turning them in by Saturday.  I will be completing report cards soon, so please make sure that any missing work that was promised to me is turned in soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Student Belongings Distribution Day<\/strong>&#8211; <strong>JUNE 2<\/strong>  (Next week Tuesday, weather permitting!)  More details on times and procedures will be in next weeks blog.  Please mark this date on your calendar.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Student Belongings Distribution Day- June 2 (Alpha Order on First Grade Table)<ul><li>All student belongings in one bag with a name!  This will include desk items, projects, books, writing, pencil boxes and<strong> safari hats<\/strong>!  <\/li><li>Box will be there for student library\/classroom book returns.  Just place any books, bookbags and library books into the box.  <\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">This week there will be 5 items that need to be done to get a <strong>Meeting <\/strong>Grade for the week. All of the items must be completed to get the <strong>Meeting<\/strong> Grade. This is the highest grade. The deadline for the completion of the below items is Saturday, May 30.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>I Ready<\/strong> (15 minutes a day) .  I will monitor the time online.<\/li><li><strong>Zearn math<\/strong> (1-2) lessons this week).  I will monitor the lessons online.<\/li><li><strong>Epic reading<\/strong> ( 15 minutes a day)  This time includes any books that I assign.  The assigned books or videos can be found in the mailbox at the top of the Epic home page.  I will monitor the books read and time spent reading online.<\/li><li><strong>Writing <\/strong> This week will be Opinion writing.  Prompt:  Do you think the use of electronics should have a one hour a day time limit?  <\/li><li><strong>Spelling Test <\/strong> Lesson 33. Pattern is Short oo family.  Final test score only. My students have read for over 173 hours since we began using this site on March 25th. (This does not include the 178 educational videos watched). Our top reader is Adam, with a total of 190  books read. In second place is Rebeca with 181 books read. Third place is Violet  with 175 books read and Fourth place is Max with 161 books read. Keep on reading!
