We are entering uncharted territory!  Put on your sailor hats and get ready for week 2.  We can do this together! This week I am adding the next spelling lesson 25, along with a fun movement\/exercise site and some writing ideas. Have fun learning this week!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> We still want our students to continue learning at home and we are asking our families to do the following:<br>&#8211;<strong> I-Ready <\/strong>for a minimum&nbsp;of 2 hours per week.      <br>&#8211;<strong>Read &#8220;good fit &#8221; books <\/strong>(K-2) 20 minutes daily.   If you are running out of books in your book bag visit this site for 10 books per week! I especially liked the 2 books about stars and the night sky!   Be sure to log them into your logs!   Scholastic books: <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/classroommagazines.scholastic.com\/support\/learnathome.html\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/classroommagazines.scholastic.com\/support\/learnathome.html<\/a><br>-At least 1 lesson per day on <strong>Zearn (math)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-In addition, this week <strong>Spelling lesson 25:<\/strong>  Pattern long i, spelled i_e (VCe pattern)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let the children pick which list they want to study.  They can be creative on how they want to study the words each day.  Write the words with colored pencils or markers, write a sentence using the words, draw a spring picture with the words hidden, find definitions in a dictionary.  Have fun!  Parents can give the spelling test on Friday or Saturday.  The bonus words are:  time, five, nice, like, lime.  Keep the tests in a folder to turn in.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>List 1<\/strong>:  drive, slice, dime, wise, mine<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>List 2<\/strong>:  arrive, advice, slime, stripe, canine<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dolch words<\/strong>:  seven, today, about, six, never<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> &#8211;<strong>Mystery Science<\/strong>:&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/mysteryscience.com\/school-closure-planning\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/mysteryscience.com\/school-closure-planning<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-The fun exercise site is  <strong>GoNoodle,<\/strong>  let the whole family get up and move.  Some of the activities get you moving, and some of the activities are calming and stress relievers!  Have fun with it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>GoNoodle&nbsp;is awesome fun for the whole family! We love it when everyone does our dances, sings our songs, and plays&nbsp;GoNoodle&nbsp;together. It\u2019s a daily ritual in most elementary schools across the U.S. (and many around the world) and we think it\u2019s a super fun thing you can do with your little ones every day too!&nbsp; Plus, we have another app called \u201cGoNoodle&nbsp;Games\u201d that is an awesome way to get your kids moving in front of the screen.
