This week we are reading Chapters 8, 9 and 10 of “The City of Ember”! This assignment is on Google Classroom. All parts of this assignment are due Sunday, May 17th.

Here is an optional schedule for your assignments this week:
Monday: Watch recap videos and complete pre-reading (Compare/Contrast Writing)
Tuesday/Wednesday: Read Chapters 8, 9 and 10 and answer questions
Thursday/Friday: Complete post-reading (Idioms Activity)

City of Ember Week 4 is due on Sunday, May 10th. As always, you can call or text us during Office Hours or email us any time for help with this.

I’m loving reading your decoded versions of the Instructions so far! You all have some very clever classmates.

Speaking of clever classmates- shoutout to 3 AWESOME students who showed me an easier way to skip to a page I am looking for when reading City of Ember. I made a quick video to show you the tricks that they taught me. Go to the Google Classroom Stream to see this video and learn how to skip to a page or chapter more quickly when reading 🙂

You will type your answers into the slides and submit the whole assignment when it is complete. ALL PARTS OF THIS ASSIGNMENT ARE DUE SUNDAY, MAY 3.

  1. Woodworth is handing out chromebooks to students who still need technology TODAY, Monday, April 27th from 12-2. Parent and student ID must be present in order to get a chromebook. We will be handing chromebooks out off of Hubbard Drive facing Greenfield – Door #7.
  2. Unfortunately, we will not be able to continue our Google Hangouts this week due to a change in the district policy. Ms. Irbash and I were greatly saddened to hear about this because we loved getting to see you guys during our Hangouts.

Thursday,April 23- Character Card Examples and Google Hangout

Good morning!

Chromebook Pickup at Woodworth- Monday, April 27th

We hope this message finds you all in good health.

Woodworth Middle School will be handing out chromebooks to students who still need technology on Monday, April 27th from 12-2.  Parent and student ID must be present in order to get a chromebook. We will be handing chromebooks out off of Hubbard Drive facing Greenfield – Door #7. 

We are asking everyone to stay in their car and drive up waiting for directions from our volunteers.  We ask everyone to adhere to the strict guidelines of social distancing in order to protect our families and our volunteers. Â
