SPELLING: This week\u2019s words will have a \u201clong a\u201d sound made by having a silent \u201ce\u201d at the end of the word. Our words are: drive, dice, dime, time, slice, mine, wise, mice. Our bonus words: ask, because.

WRITING: We are going to work on \u201cBrainstormers\u201d stories. We will write our stories to submit them for the Brainstromers Assembly in March.

READING: This week we will work on learning how to analyze the author\u2019s purpose for writing the text and learn how to describe an author\u2019s purpose for using specific illustrations.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
MATH: We will finish Module 2. The test will be next Friday, February 7th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
SCIENCE: We will finish our unit about how the \u201cEarth moves in the sky.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
SOCIAL STUDIES: We will start working on maps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
