Please make sure your child is reading every night for 15-20 minutes. \u00a0It is important for students to read at home to improve comprehension, accuracy, fluency, and vocabulary.<\/p>\n
Students are expected to complete their homework on time. \u00a0If homework is not turned in on time, students are given an “Oops” note that MUST be signed by a parent and returned to school the next day with the missing assignment. \u00a0If the note\/assignment are not returned, then the student will have to flip their card.<\/p>\n
Thank you to those families who have signed up to bring in treats for our Halloween party this coming Friday. \u00a0If you have not signed up, please do not send in any treats. \u00a0Otherwise we have too much food and much of it gets wasted. \u00a0There will be other opportunities to bring in treats for future parties. \u00a0As of now, we still need volunteers to bring in vegetables and fruit (it helps even out all of the sugar!).<\/p>\n
Parent Teacher Conferences are coming up on November 12th, 18th, and 19th. \u00a0Please make sure you have signed up for a day and time to discuss your child’s first report card and progress made so far this year.<\/p>\n
The district has paid for a fantastic website called “MobyMax”. \u00a0Please encourage your child to visit this website at home. \u00a0Last Friday we did our Math Practice Test in class and many students have started their lessons for math. \u00a0The website is www.mobymax.com\/signin. \u00a0The username is the student’s id number and the password is their birthdate (mmddyyy). \u00a0It is a wonderful website and students really enjoy the lessons\/activities provided.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
