Study Guide for Quiz on Vegetation and Climate<\/p>\n<p>Quiz on Monday, October 19<sup>th<\/sup><\/p>\n<p>Students will need to remember 2 things they learned about vegetation in Michigan.\u00a0 Possible answers are listed below:<\/p>\n<p>-Michigan has lots of forests.<\/p>\n<p>-Michigan has both National and State forests.<\/p>\n<p>-Michigan has commercial forests where trees are grown to sell to make things like paper.<\/p>\n<p>-There are more forests in the Upper Peninsula.<\/p>\n<p>-There are a lot of apple orchards in Michigan.<\/p>\n<p>-Apple orchards are often found along the shores of the Great Lakes (especially Lake Michigan).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Students will need to remember 2 things they learned about the climate of Michigan.\u00a0 Possible answers are listed below:<\/p>\n<p>-Michigan has four different seasons.<\/p>\n<p>-The Great lakes affect Michigan\u2019s climate.<\/p>\n<p>-Higher areas have colder temperatures.<\/p>\n<p>-The Upper Peninsula tends to be colder than the Lower Peninsula.<\/p>\n<p>-Different parts of Michigan have different temperatures and different amounts of precipitation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Students will need to list at least one other important thing they learned in this lesson:<\/p>\n<p>-The robin is Michigan\u2019s state bird.<\/p>\n<p>-The apple blossom is Michigan\u2019s state flower.<\/p>\n<p>-The white pine is Michigan\u2019s state tree.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here is a copy of the study guide being sent home today: &nbsp; S.S.
