{"id":600,"date":"2015-03-02T15:07:45","date_gmt":"2015-03-02T20:07:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/shenew\/?p=600"},"modified":"2015-03-02T15:07:45","modified_gmt":"2015-03-02T20:07:45","slug":"week-of-march-2-6","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/shenew\/2015\/03\/02\/week-of-march-2-6\/","title":{"rendered":"Week of March 2-6"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Spelling words (\/ire\/, \/ear\/): \u00a0hire, earth. learn, retire, admire<\/p>\n<p>Academic words: \u00a0content, division, local, vote, pollen<\/p>\n<p>Students should continue to study for their 3 minute test in multiplication every night. \u00a0Many students have passed all tests and are already starting their factors of 7 tomorrow!<\/p>\n<p>Reading Bags will be going home tomorrow (Tuesday). \u00a0Please have your child read the assigned book throughout the week and answer the questions at the back of the book. \u00a0The questions will be due next Monday.<\/p>\n<p>The Unit 7 Math Test on multiplication will be this Friday. \u00a0We are still learning new concepts about multiplication, so the study guide will come home on Tuesday. \u00a0Some of the questions will be taught in class throughout the week. \u00a0Please have your child bring in the completed study guide on Thursday so we can go over it together in class and students can ask any questions they were unsure of.<\/p>\n<p>March is Reading Month activities:<\/p>\n<p>Monday &#8211; we read a Dr. Seuss book for his birthday<\/p>\n<p>Tuesday- decorate classroom door like our favorite book<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday- read in the hallway 8:50-9:00<\/p>\n<p>Thursday &#8211; read a non-fiction book<\/p>\n<p>Friday- explain to someone how to pick a &#8220;good fit&#8221; book<\/p>\n<p>Saturday &#8211; visit a public library and find a quiet place to read<\/p>\n<p>Sunday &#8211; play a game that involves words like Hangman, Boggle, or Scrabble<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Spelling words (\/ire\/, \/ear\/): \u00a0hire, earth. learn, retire, admire Academic words: \u00a0content, division, local, vote, pollen Students should continue to study for their 3 minute test in multiplication every night. \u00a0Many students have passed all tests and are already starting their factors of 7 tomorrow!
