{"id":551,"date":"2015-01-05T14:52:01","date_gmt":"2015-01-05T19:52:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/shenew\/?p=551"},"modified":"2015-01-05T14:52:01","modified_gmt":"2015-01-05T19:52:01","slug":"week-of-january-5-9","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/shenew\/2015\/01\/05\/week-of-january-5-9\/","title":{"rendered":"Week of January 5-9"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Happy New Year! \u00a0I hope everyone had a happy and relaxing break!<\/p>\n<p>Spelling words (\/dr\/, \/fr\/, \/pr\/, \/tr\/): \u00a0drum, frying, price, train, track<\/p>\n<p>Academic words: \u00a0predict, multiplication, author, lumber, frequency<\/p>\n<p>Reading Bags will continue to come home every TUESDAY. \u00a0Please have your child read the book throughout the week and complete the assignment. \u00a0Unless otherwise stated, the assignment is to answer the 3 questions at the back of the book. \u00a0Students need to copy the question, then answer the question in a complete sentence. \u00a0Students must put their name on the paper along with a title (which is the title of the book). \u00a0The past assignments have been missing lots of important information and several students have not been turning in their bags on time. \u00a0Please make sure the Reading Bag is returned every MONDAY, so I have time to collect the old books and distribute new books.<\/p>\n<p>We are currently starting Unit 5 in Math on place value up to 7 digits. \u00a0Students should continue to practice their multiplication facts because we will revisit multiplication in Unit 7. \u00a0By the end of third grade, students are expected to have mastered multiplication up to 10&#215;10.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Happy New Year! \u00a0I hope everyone had a happy and relaxing break!
