{"id":2828,"date":"2019-01-07T07:50:22","date_gmt":"2019-01-07T12:50:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/shenew\/?p=2828"},"modified":"2019-01-07T07:50:22","modified_gmt":"2019-01-07T12:50:22","slug":"january-7-11","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/shenew\/2019\/01\/07\/january-7-11\/","title":{"rendered":"January 7-11"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome back!<\/p>\n<p>Thank you to all of the wonderful families who gave me thoughtful cards and gifts for the holiday!\u00a0 I am so lucky to work with such amazing families!\u00a0 I hope everyone enjoyed the vacation and spent quality time with friends and family.<\/p>\n<p>Spelling Words (\/en\/ and \/on\/ patterns):\u00a0 apron, poison, sunken, shrunken, chosen, tighten, frighten, cannon, carbon, sharpen<\/p>\n<p>Content Words: exponents, multiply, factors, estimation, product<\/p>\n<p>Winter NWEA testing will begin this week.\u00a0 We will be taking one test a week and will be testing Language, Science, Math and Reading.\u00a0 Once all testing is over, a report will be sent home so you can see your child&#8217;s progress since the fall testing.<\/p>\n<p>Just a reminder that we are back to our regular routine of reading 20-30 minutes every night and filling out the Reading Log.\u00a0 Students should also be reading the assigned book that is sent home in their reading bags.<\/p>\n<p>We are continuing multiplication in math and will begin division this week.\u00a0 It is important that students have memorized their basic multiplication facts up to 10 x 10.\u00a0 Continue to practice these facts at home with your child.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome back!
