We are currently studying Module 3 in Math which involves multiplication and will soon get into division.\u00a0 As students finished 3rd grade, they should have memorized all of their multiplication facts up to 10’s.\u00a0 In order to learn multi-digit multiplication in 4th grade, students must continue to have these facts memorized.\u00a0 Please practice multiplication at home with your child.\u00a0 We will take a weekly multiplication quiz every Friday to see if students are improving on their facts.\u00a0 You can have your child go onto MobyMax and go to Fact Fluency to practice at home, or the website\u00a0https:\/\/www.arcademics.com\/<\/a>\u00a0is a fun way to practice speed and accuracy of multiplication facts.<\/p>\n Reminder that this coming Thursday, December 6th is our 4th grade field trip to Legoland.\u00a0 Students must pack a lunch to bring on the field trip.\u00a0 Parent chaperones should check in at the office and head down to our classroom at 9:00 a.m. to find out which students are in your group and to hear instructions.\u00a0 There is enough room for parents to ride the bus, however parents can drive independently if they wish.\u00a0 It is going to be an educational and exciting field trip.<\/p>\n This Friday, December 7th is Popcorn Day and Book Bingo in the evening!<\/p>\n Students should be keeping up on their Reading Log and Reading Bag Assignments.\u00a0 Student should read 20-30 minutes every night in order to improve their reading skills which will be tested on the next NWEA in January.<\/p>\n
