Please continue to have your child read everyday at home and record the number of minutes read each day on your Weekly Reading Log. \u00a0Students should also read on MyOn at home and include the number of minutes read on the log as well. \u00a0Students’ Lexile scores need to be recorded weekly. \u00a0If your child’s Lexile score is not increasing, then they may be reading books that are too easy or too difficult. \u00a0Students should use the recommended list of books that are at their Lexile level. \u00a0Once finished, the students should take the benchmark test on each book read. \u00a0This will help increase each students’ level.<\/p>\n
Students took the Unit 2 Math Test on Friday. \u00a0I have corrected them and they will be coming home today. \u00a0If your child received a “4”, he\/she may retake the test by this Friday. \u00a0The student needs to come to me to tell me if they are retaking the test. \u00a0If a student received a “3”, he\/she may see me to do test corrections to receive 1\/2 credit to improve their grade. \u00a0Congratulations to those students who received a “2” or “1” on the test. \u00a0Many students did extra credit on the test and scored above 100%!!!<\/p>\n
Classroom Book Orders are due by Friday, October 21st. \u00a0You can order\/pay online or send in a check with your order form to school.<\/p>\n
The Snow School Book Fair will be held next week. \u00a0Our class will be attending on Wednesday, October 26th at 10:00 a.m. \u00a0Please send any money to school with your child on that day if they are planning on purchasing items from the Book Fair.<\/p>\n
