{"id":1296,"date":"2016-09-13T08:50:08","date_gmt":"2016-09-13T12:50:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/shenew\/?p=1296"},"modified":"2016-09-16T16:09:23","modified_gmt":"2016-09-16T20:09:23","slug":"week-of-september-13-16","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/shenew\/2016\/09\/13\/week-of-september-13-16\/","title":{"rendered":"Week of September 13-16"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome back after the extended weekend. \u00a0Happy Eid to those families that are celebrating!<\/p>\n<p>Weekly Spelling words (multi-syllabic short a and e): \u00a0problem, latitude, machine, system, member<\/p>\n<p>Academic Spelling words: \u00a0points, lines, line segments, rays, quadrangles<\/p>\n<p>As 4th graders, students will be given 10 spelling words at the beginning of each week. \u00a0Students will do a few activities using these words in class, but are expected to study the list of words for the test on Friday. \u00a0There is no official homework that needs to be turned in for spelling words. \u00a0A list of suggested activities to do with your child at home is being sent home today. \u00a0Every Friday, the test will include the 10 given words plus 5 &#8220;cold&#8221; words that are a mystery to the students but follow the pattern for the week.<\/p>\n<p>Please continue to follow the arrival and dismissal procedures that were set up at the beginning of the year. \u00a0A pink note went home on Friday with a few changes to the arrangements, however 4th grade remains the same.<\/p>\n<p>Open House is this Thursday, September 15th from 6:00-7:30 at night. \u00a0Stop by the classroom to meet Ms. Shene and see all of the exciting things that are happening this year!<\/p>\n<p>Several papers are coming home today from the PTA including Officer and Open Chair Positions, joining the Snow PTA, and a Box Tops Contest.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you to all of the wonderful families that have sent in suggested supplies and donations for the classroom. \u00a0It looks like we&#8217;re going to have a fantastic year!!!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome back after the extended weekend. \u00a0Happy Eid to those families that are celebrating!
