Homework packets went home today. \u00a0We are working on the ar spelling pattern. \u00a0Remember to have fun with the spelling pattern and try to make new words. \u00a0Also point out the pattern if you see it in words the children are reading. \u00a0Soon they will notice it too. \u00a0In science we are wrapping up the matter unit. \u00a0We will be taking a test later this week. \u00a0I will review with them in class. \u00a0We just started working on magnets. \u00a0If you have magnets at home please have your child explore what the magnet will attract to. \u00a0We did some exploring today and had a lot of fun with it. \u00a0There will be a second math test soon. \u00a0It will be very similar to the first test. \u00a0I know the tests are close together, but it just expands on what we have been working on. \u00a0It does cover more story problems. \u00a0Just like last time, I will send home similar questions so your child has a good feel for the format of the test.<\/p>\n

Please remember to check your child’s reading journal in the reading bag. \u00a0If your child does not complete the questions in class it is homework.<\/p>\n

Halloween is quickly approaching. \u00a0Our parade will take place Monday, October 31, 2016 at 2:00p.m. \u00a0Your child may bring a costume in a bag to school on Monday. \u00a0Wear regular clothes to school. \u00a0We will change into our costumes shortly before the parade. \u00a0If your child would like to bring a treat to share that would be great!<\/p>\n

PTA is selling raffle tickets for Halloween treat baskets. \u00a0Tickets are $1.00. \u00a0There will be one winner for each grade level. \u00a0Ticket money is due Thursday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
