Homework packets went home today.\u00a0 We will have a math test on Friday.\u00a0 The homework packet will help you study for the test a little each night.\u00a0 Remember to work on the spelling pattern too.\u00a0 Write the words on cards and hide them around the living room.\u00a0 When your child finds them, have your child read the word and spell it.\u00a0 Challenge your child even further by having your child read the word, spell it and then give you a rhyming word.\u00a0 Take advantage of the warm weather too before it is gone.\u00a0 Practice math or spelling outside with chalk.<\/p>\n
I also sent home October book orders.\u00a0 All orders should be turned in on Thursday so I can mail the order out on Friday.\u00a0 Checks can be written out to Scholastic Books.\u00a0 Cash is fine too, but please send in the correct amount in an envelope with your child’s name.<\/p>\n
The PTA is having a pumpkin raffle.\u00a0 The teachers decorated pumpkins and the students can buy a raffle ticket to win a pumpkin.\u00a0 The tickets are $1.00 each.<\/p>\n
There will be a Halloween Parade on October 31, 2016.\u00a0 Your child may bring a costume in a bag to wear for the parade.\u00a0 You may also send in a snack or candy to share.\u00a0 Details for the parade will be posted closer to the date.<\/p>\n
