{"id":213,"date":"2017-09-29T14:47:25","date_gmt":"2017-09-29T18:47:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/shelld\/?p=213"},"modified":"2017-09-29T14:47:25","modified_gmt":"2017-09-29T18:47:25","slug":"213","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/shelld\/2017\/09\/29\/213\/","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Next week we will be working on short u words.\u00a0 Please remember to play around with the spelling words.\u00a0 It is suppose to be nice this weekend so have your child write all the words he or she knows with sidewalk chalk.\u00a0 How about making words rhyme.\u00a0 Finding patterns in words can be fun and really make reading and writing much easier for your child.<\/p>\n<p>We worked really hard on analyzing graphs this week.\u00a0 They had to write their own graph analysis in the their journals today with minimal help.\u00a0 The concept of how many more or less is still a bit tricky.\u00a0 We will be taking unit one test this week.\u00a0 I made sure to hand back the homework so you can look over it with your child.\u00a0 The test will look very similar to the math pages in the homework.\u00a0 I also handed back a quick check quiz earlier this week over tally marks, before and after numbers and which number is greater.\u00a0 Remember greater means more or bigger.
