Happy Tuesday to you.

ELA 6 students – I have made an adjustment to the gradebook to make it easier to understand since many of you are asking about your grade. The only grades being issued this semester are “A”, “G”, and “N”. “G” is credit, but no grade. “N” is no credit. In order to get an “A”, you must complete at least 75% of the work satisfactorily. The work that counts will be the weekly assignments starting on April 20. Each of these weekly assignments was worth 4 points, and there were 6 of them, so there are 24 possible points for this class. If you have 18 or more points, you are eligible for the “A”. If you have 12-17.5 points, you are eligible for the “G”. If you have 0-11.5 points, you will get an “N”. Only these 6 weekly assignments are currently marked as graded in MiStar. So however many points you have, you will see them in there. I hope that this helps with any confusion. Now, the reason that I say ELIGIBLE for an “A” or a “G”, is that the attendance requirement is also part of the grade. I marked these as not graded to make the points easier for you to see. You ALSO need at least 75% attendance to be eligible for an “A”. 50%-74% to be eligible for a “G”. 0-49% will get an “N”. The work AND the attendance are combined to issue you your grade. For attendance, we had 6 required check-ins so you need 4.5+ to be eligible for the “A”. 3-4 check-ins will make you eligible for a “G”. 0-2 check-ins = “N”.

I hope that this makes sense. Please email me with any questions you have.

Have a great day!

Hello everyone!
