Hello everyone!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Welcome to the first week of online learning. Your kindergarten grade team has some ideas about how you can be a successful student at home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1- Find a \u201cstudy spot,\u201d some place where you will go to do your daily work.  A spot for school work only, no where near the TV or video games, if possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2- Create a schedule to follow every week day. Still get up at a set time, do your regular routine as if you were going to school. Then go into your school work.  Following a routine will be VERY helpful especially to children. They need the consistency of a schedule. 
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Possible schedule routines include:
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8am wake up, do morning routine (breakfast, brush teeth, etc).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8:30 Have one child do class work on the computer doing reading, writing or spelling activities. Another do paper work (spelling, writing, reading if you have books. Have the children switch when it makes since for what each child is doing on the computer, approximately every 15-20 minutes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

9:30 BRAIN BREAK <\/p>\n\n\n\n

10:00 Back to work with Reading, writing, and spelling activities, alternating  the computer time<\/p>\n\n\n\n

11:00 LUNCH or BRAIN BREAK, kindergarten has lunch at 11<\/p>\n\n\n\n

12:00 Math activities – share the computer for online lessons.  Zearn, math games<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1:00 BRAIN BREAK <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1:30 Social Studies and Science activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2:30 Make sure all assignments are submitted to your teacher.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BRAIN BREAK IDEAS:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Mr. Tapp\u2019s blog, go outside if it\u2019s a nice day (practice social distancing), or do \u201cGoNoodle.\u201d It\u2019s free and families can sign up: https:\/\/www.gonoodle.com\/<\/a>  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Check Mrs. Meyer\u2019s blog for music ideas<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Mr. Goecke\u2019s blogs for art ideas<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Mrs. Poisson’s blogs with have some literacy and technology ideas<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you have a membership, check out Dearborn Public Libraries. The children can \u201cborrow\u201d new books and they also have movies (including the latest ones that aren\u2019t streaming\/on cable yet).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
