{"id":491,"date":"2018-05-30T11:35:22","date_gmt":"2018-05-30T15:35:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/shannonpeterson\/?p=491"},"modified":"2018-05-30T11:35:22","modified_gmt":"2018-05-30T15:35:22","slug":"mr-oshnocks-opus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/shannonpeterson\/2018\/05\/30\/mr-oshnocks-opus\/","title":{"rendered":"Mr. Oshnock&#8217;s Opus"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">DHS Instrumental Music Director, Jeffrey Oshnock, conducted his final concert as he is retiring this June. \u00a0On, May 24th, at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center, over 75 alumni returned to perform with Mr. Oshnock one last time. \u00a0The evening began with the alumni band playing two patriotic tunes. The 9th-12th grade bands and orchestras played 2-3 songs each. The orchestra\u2019s version of \u201cPhantom of the Opera\u201d was truly moving. \u00a0At the end of the evening, 5 alumni came back on stage and performed with the DHS Jazz Band.
