{"id":967,"date":"2017-10-16T09:00:26","date_gmt":"2017-10-16T13:00:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/shakarchi\/?p=967"},"modified":"2017-10-12T15:37:44","modified_gmt":"2017-10-12T19:37:44","slug":"967","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/shakarchi\/2017\/10\/16\/967\/","title":{"rendered":"Weekly Notes 10\/16\/2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Good Morning Families,<\/p>\n<p>Hope you had a wonderful weekend!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Homework Packets<\/strong>: Our homework packets were a success.\u00a0 Thank you for helping your son\/daughter with understanding the homework.\u00a0 Homework is from the skills we learned last week in class.\u00a0 Please have your child work on the packet each day.\u00a0 Also, read for 20 minutes and fill logs, and only three boxes of spelling activity.\u00a0 Homework is due on Fridays.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Spelling: <\/strong>Our skill this week is homophones list #5.\u00a0\u00a0 We also have five content words.\u00a0 Spelling test are usually on Fridays.\u00a0 Please have your child review either list A or list B and study the &#8220;both&#8221; section too.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Math Objectives: 3.OA.8<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I can choose the correct operation to perform the first computation, and<\/li>\n<li>choose the correct operation to perform the second computation in order to solve two-step word problems.<\/li>\n<li>I can write equations using a letter for the unknown number.<\/li>\n<li>I can decide if my answers are reasonable using mental math and estimation strategies including rounding.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prodigy<\/strong>\u00a0Prodigy is a website that help students practice their math skill.\u00a0 Your child is encouraged to practice math skills with Prodigy.
