We will have Math Thursday. Also, will continue with math on the following week of 5\/16-18.\u00a0 \u00a0All tests will be taken on the Chrome books. We practiced in class and you may continue practicing the \u00a0M-Step at home by going to the DPS website.<\/p>\n<p><em>Please have your child have a good night sleep and to get a healthy snack (you may send an extra snack if you would like-some students will get hungrier than the usual during testing).<\/em>\u00a0 We will take as many breaks as needed to refresh and stretch.\u00a0 Thanks for your help and encouragement to your child during testing time. \u00a0Good luck to all students!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Homework<\/strong>: During the M-Step testing window, students will not receive daily homework worksheets (math and reading), however, we will still have fluency, spelling, story of the week, LA, and math reviews.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Field Trip<\/strong>: We still need chaperons for the zoo field trip. \u00a0Please stop by the office to sign up. It takes 10 days to be approved for field trips.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Spelling<\/strong>: \u00a0List #24 skill \u2013 Prefixes \/re\/ &amp; \/pre\/<\/p>\n<p><strong>Spelling Test<\/strong>: Friday<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reading:<\/strong>20-30 minutes: Mobymax, \u00a0Myon, M-Step (ilearn) reading can be used towards the 30 minutes of reading .<\/p>\n<p>~<strong>Reading:<\/strong>\u00a0Main idea and details<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Language Arts Quiz<\/strong>: Monday #29 (students take the weekly language review on Friday to study). \u00a0The Weekly LA review is their study guide for the Monday quiz.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Writing<\/strong>:\u00a0Compare and contrast information between texts and across subject areas. Students will need to: Recognize (similarities and differences of plot across literary works) ,describe (similarities and differences of plot across literary works) , compare (information between texts and across subject areas) ,contrast (information between texts and across subject areas)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fluency<\/strong>: Due Monday<br \/>\n<strong>Story of the Week<\/strong>: a new prompt will be sent home today. We love how the students are expressing themselves through this free write.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Story of the Week<\/strong>: Due Monday<\/p>\n<p><strong>Math<\/strong>:<br \/>\nUnit 8-We are focusing on equivalent fractions, comparing fractions, adding\/ subtracting fractions et.\u00a0 Students may practice skills daily for a few minutes on the M-Step practice on ilearn DPS website, Frontrow, and Mobymax.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Math Review Quiz<\/strong>: # 28 Friday(students will take week #28 home Thursday to study)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Snacks<\/strong>: Thanks for providing your child a healthy snack.
