Dear Students and Families,<\/span><\/p>\n

Next week, April 3rd-7th, we are off for Spring Break! \u00a0\u00a0Even during break and on vacation getaways, the kids will need some quiet, relaxing down time. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Please have your child complete the assigned pages in the IReady Mathematics Booklet and the IReady English Language Arts booklet:<\/span><\/p>\n

Important Note:\u00a0parents please \u00a0read with their child, as it may be difficult for him or her.\u00a0 Even if you read with your child, your child is practicing the skills needed. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • IReady Mathematics – Assessment 1 (pages 1-35)<\/span><\/li>\n
  • IReady English Language Arts – CAT Assessment 1 (pages 1-25)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

     <\/p>\n

    The two booklet assignments are due the day we come back, on April 10th. <\/b><\/p>\n

    Your child is welcome to use extra paper if needed. \u00a0Be sure to turn that in also.<\/span><\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n\n\n\n
    We strongly encourage you and your child to <\/span>pace it<\/b> out and do a little bit each day. \u00a0We recommend your child <\/span>spend time daily<\/b> in each subject:<\/span><\/p>\n
      \n
    • Reading ~ about 30 minutes\/day<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Math ~ about 20 minutes\/day. \u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      We also recommend breaking it up so your child is not working for too long at one time. \u00a0\u00a0For example, work a little in the morning, and again in afternoon or evening.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

       <\/p>\n

      An easy tip: \u00a0Have your child study on the airplane or during car rides. \u00a0Your child could read a passage, read the directions and questions in the car and complete the answers when they arrive back at home. <\/span><\/p>\n
