We will start with ELA first week and Math the following week.\u00a0 Please encourage your son\/daughter to take a few minutes a day to practice reading and math M-Step. Please monitor the time they are on the computer so they won&#8217;t over stress themselves about testing.<\/li>\n<li><em>M-Step practice for reading and math might replace paper homework. Students had practiced how to log into their accounts on the DPS website to practice the M-Step.\u00a0 Please have your child practice few questions each day.:)<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Spelling<\/strong>: \u00a0List #21 skill &#8211; i before e except after c<\/p>\n<p><strong>Spelling Test<\/strong>: Thursday<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reading<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>~20-30 minutes &#8211; Record minutes on April logs please. Also, Mobymax, \u00a0Myon, M-Step (ilearn) reading can be used towards the 30 minutes of reading .<\/p>\n<p>~<strong>Reading:<\/strong>\u00a0RI 3.9 Compare and contrast two texts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Language Arts Quiz<\/strong>: Monday #25 (students take the weekly language review on Friday to study). \u00a0The Weekly LA review is their study guide for the Monday quiz.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Writing<\/strong>:\u00a0Compare and contrast information between texts and across subject areas. Students will need to: \u00a0compare (information between texts and across subject areas) ,contrast (information between texts and across subject areas)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fluency<\/strong>: Due Monday<br \/>\n<strong>Story of the Week<\/strong>: a new prompt will be sent home today. We love how the students are expressing themselves through this free write.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Story of the Week<\/strong>: Due Monday<\/p>\n<p><strong>Math<\/strong>:<br \/>\nUnit 8-We are focusing on fractions.\u00a0 Students may practice skills daily for a few minutes on the M-Step practice on ilearn DPS website, and Frontrow.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Math Review Quiz<\/strong>:#24 Thursday (students take week 23 class review on Thursdays)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Snacks<\/strong>: Thanks for providing your child a healthy snack.
