Record minutes on February logs please. Bring your logs on Fridays to count the minutes (Mobymax and Myon reading can be used towards the 30 minutes reading) .<\/p>\n<p>~Reading RL.3.5: We are reading different types of poetry.\u00a0 Students are asking and answering questions. Students will create a quatrain and acrostic poems.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Language Arts Quiz<\/strong>: Monday<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Writing<\/strong>:\u00a0CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.2.2<br \/>\nWrite informative\/explanatory texts in which they introduce a topic, use facts and definitions to develop points, and provide a concluding statement or section.(Animals\/plants) Also, students will\u00a0Participate in shared research and writing projects (for example, read a number of books on a single topic to produce a report; record science observations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fluency<\/strong>: a new fluency will be sent home today. Please have your child read the passage four times a week. Each time should include three attempts. Have them answer the questions in a complete sentence and underline their evidence in the text.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fluency<\/strong>: Due Monday<br \/>\n<strong>Story of the Week<\/strong>: a new prompt will be sent home today. We love how the students are expressing themselves through this free write.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Story of the Week<\/strong>: Due Monday<\/p>\n<p><strong>Math<\/strong>:<br \/>\nWe are studying unit 7 (3.OA.6 and 3.OA.4). In this unit, students extend their knowledge of basic multiplication and division skills by looking patterns. Students will continue to develop their understanding of the relationship between multiplication and division through strategies and concrete materials.\u00a0<em>Unit test will on around 3\/23 or 3\/24<\/em>.\u00a0 Students will use the study guide for review.\u00a0 Please continue using Mobymax and Frontrow.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Math Review Quiz<\/strong>:#21 Friday<\/p>\n<p><strong>Science<\/strong>: This unit is divided into two learning cycles. In the first cycle of this unit students investigate how physical and behavioral characteristics help organisms meet their survival needs. We are targeting plants now.<\/p>\n<p>We will investigate these questions-<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>What is the relationship between the structure and the function of plant and animal parts?<\/strong><\/em><strong><em><br \/>\nHow do plant and animal adaptations help them meet their survival needs?<br \/>\nHow do scientists use observable specialized structures to classify organisms?<br \/>\n<\/em><\/strong><strong>How do scientists use a classification system to identify plants and animals?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Snacks<\/strong>: Thanks for providing your child a healthy snack.
