Dear Families,
\nParent Teacher Conferences<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

We are continuing Parent Teacher Conferences this Wednesday, November 16th<\/sup> and Thursday, November 17th<\/sup>.\u00a0 I am looking forward to meet with you! I will be sending reminders home.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em>
\nPlanners<\/span><\/strong>: please review student\u2019s planners daily for upcoming events,\u00a0quizzes, and behavior.\u00a0 Please initial every night.<\/span>
\nMath<\/span><\/strong>: We started (Measurement and Data) which includes area and perimeters. I attached a video from Khan Academy as a resource.https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=LoaBd-sPzkU<\/a>\u00a0 Also, I assigned few practices on frontrowed.com for extra practice.\u00a0 Our class code is dtqcwt<\/strong>. Please allow your child, with supervision, to complete the assignments first, and then they may choose other domains to practice.<\/p>\n

Math Homework<\/strong>: This week, I will be sending some area and perimeter homework.\u00a0 They will be in the form of a trifold.\u00a0 We have practiced a few examples in class, and students may continue practicing at home with your support.<\/p>\n

Spelling<\/strong>: List #7 skill is 2-syllable words-closed
\nReading<\/span><\/strong>: Please continue spending 20-30 minutes reading to or listening to your child read and log the minutes on their November logs. Ask and answer questions at their comprehension level using the yellow sheet.\u00a0 (I will be giving you one at the conferences)
\nFluency<\/span><\/strong>: a new fluency will be sent home Monday. Please have your child read the passage four times a week. Each time should include three attempts. Have them answer the questions.<\/p>\n

Story of the Week<\/strong>: a new prompt will be sent home today. We love how the students are expressing themselves through this free write.<\/p>\n

Snacks<\/strong>: Thanks for providing your child a healthy snack. The students really enjoy it!<\/p>\n

Donations<\/strong>: Thanks for sending the tissue boxes and hand sanitizer.\u00a0 Your donations are appreciated.<\/p>\n

Late Start<\/strong>: This Wednesday is late start.\u00a0 School begins at 9:05 and ends at its regular time 3:00<\/p>\n

Fundraiser Committee Announcement<\/strong>:\u00a0Open Gym\/Open Pool Fundraiser<\/span><\/p>\n

We will be opening the pool and gym for students and their families to come and play. We will have life guards on duty!<\/span><\/p>\n
