Halloween parade will be at 2:00.  Parents are more than welcome to join us during the parade.<br \/>\nWeekly Updates:<br \/>\nUnit 2 Math study guide will be sent home. Also, we will get our new spelling list, Story of the Week prompt, and Fluency. Homework will be reading and math. Note: students may start practicing their multiplication tables-I will be sending the tables soon.<br \/>\nTuesday: We are starting the new science unit:Light and Sound.  Cycle one will focus on Light.<br \/>\nWriting Workshop: Some students are still working on finishing publishing their narrative-favorite family vacation.  The grade will be based on:<br \/>\n1-Organization: Introduction, 2-3 body paragraphs, conclusion<br \/>\n2-Indentation<br \/>\n3-Dialogue and quotations<br \/>\nStudents had explicit instructions on how to write a personal narrative.  Thanks for your help and support at home.  Many students took their time completing the publishing process at home. Their final copies were nicely written.<br \/>\nWe are starting Opinion writing this week<\/p>\n<p>Parent Teacher Conferences appointments will come home this week. Please take a minute to review the date and time. Sign and return as soon as possible.  Your promptness is appreciated.
