We did so far these strategies:<br \/>\nBack up and reread.<br \/>\nAsk and answer questions<br \/>\nRecognize literacy elements<br \/>\nTune in to interesting words<br \/>\nAsk your child what are the other strategies, and encourage them to use them during reading.<\/p>\n<p>Spelling:<br \/>\nThis week\u2019s spelling is spelling list #3 (We finally put them on rings&#8230;yeay!  Students should save these spelling cards and continuously study the spelling pattern for List A and Both. On the 7th week, we will have a random spelling test from List A and Both.<br \/>\nSpelling words and on a card and written in their planners.  Content words don&#8217;t follow the spelling pattern.  <\/p>\n<p>Fluency:<br \/>\nI am sending a Fluency folder home.  Please have your son\/daughter practice reading with understanding and time them for one minute.  Questions need to be answered in complete sentences.<\/p>\n<p>Math:<br \/>\nThis week we will be working on all types of graphing.  Continue practicing telling time and elapsed time with them.  <\/p>\n<p>October PBIS:<br \/>\nWe will start recording behavior starting this month.
