{"id":389,"date":"2016-01-19T06:11:40","date_gmt":"2016-01-19T11:11:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/shakarchi\/?p=389"},"modified":"2016-01-19T06:21:00","modified_gmt":"2016-01-19T11:21:00","slug":"are-you-a-dreamer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/shakarchi\/2016\/01\/19\/are-you-a-dreamer\/","title":{"rendered":"Are you a Dreamer?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=4xXZhXTFWnE\">Click Here to watch Kid President talking about Martin Luther King Jr. Ask your child about their dreams!<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Good Morning,<\/p>\n<p>Hope you had a relaxing and nice long weekend with your family and friend.\u00a0 On my end, I had a chance to meet up with one of my daughters and my two granddaughters.\u00a0 I would like to thank you for your hard work with your child, and encourage you to continue helping them and supporting them.\u00a0 Here are a couple reminders about homework:<\/p>\n<p>Every student should have a Homework folder that goes home at the end of the day.\u00a0 Please check if it is still in a good shape.<\/p>\n<p>Planners: We write everyday to record homework, test, and behavior. Please check them and initial them.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reading<\/strong>: Read&#8230;Read&#8230;Read anything and everything for 30 minutes.\u00a0 On- line sites count too. (Check websites inside the planner).\u00a0 <strong>Fluency<\/strong> is reading too with comprehension question.\u00a0 If you want your child to raise his\/her reading level, then, you guessed it,<em> reading<\/em> is the answer!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Math:<\/strong> We are working on multiplication quizzes everyday.\u00a0 There is a practice sheet that comes home daily.\u00a0\u00a0Also, three day of the week, a\u00a0math homework sheet related to what we are learning in class is sent too.\u00a0 Students are so excited to take the quizzes.\u00a0 Ask them about it. A letter came home last week to explain the procedures for the multiplication quizzes. Students move up in the levels until they master all tables.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Spelling<\/strong>: Every week we have a new list.\u00a0 I highly recommend that students understand the rule first. and write the words three times each.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Field Trip<\/strong>:\u00a0\u00a0Lansing field trip is coming up in the\u00a0early\u00a0part of February.\u00a0\u00a0Permission slips are coming home soon.\u00a0\u00a0 Our class will need at least 10 chaperons.\u00a0 Please consider volunteering because it is a long day and far away, we can use all the help we can get \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Have a wonderful week!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Click Here to watch Kid President talking about Martin Luther King Jr. Ask your child about their dreams!
