{"id":205,"date":"2015-10-11T21:45:58","date_gmt":"2015-10-12T01:45:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/shakarchi\/?p=205"},"modified":"2015-10-11T21:59:39","modified_gmt":"2015-10-12T01:59:39","slug":"class-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/shakarchi\/2015\/10\/11\/class-news\/","title":{"rendered":"Class News October 12-16"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Good Morning,<\/p>\n<p>Hope you had a wonderful weekend! \u00a0 Our class is working on couple of goals, and we really need your support to achieve them.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Behavior goals<\/strong>: Follow directions quickly, and to show kindness to someone in class.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Academic goals<\/strong>: Complete all <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">home<\/span> and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">class<\/span> work on time and correctly.<\/p>\n<p>Just a friendly reminder: All homework assigned on Monday is due in class on Friday. \u00a0<em>Late homework is accepted the next day for 1\/2 of the points.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Thanks for you continuous support!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Math: 3.MD.3<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Daily website practices: (fun and educational)<\/p>\n<p>Mobymax- students received their user names and passwords \u00a0last week (glued inside their planner). \u00a0Students are taking the placement test in class, and expected to practice math skills every night for 10 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Frontrow<\/p>\n<p>Xtra Math<\/p>\n<p><strong>Spelling\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>List 3- (A and Both) or (B and Both) and content words. \u00a0Skill: soft c and soft g<\/p>\n<p>Language Arts<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reading Fluency<\/strong>&#8211; see letter for explanation in the fluency folder. \u00a0Students will practice their fluency every night, \u00a0and answer the comprehension question. \u00a0I send this folder Monday and is due Friday. <strong>Folders are collected every Friday for a grade<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reading<\/strong>: Read for 30 minutes every night<\/p>\n<p>Strategy: Ask and answer questions to determine the main idea and details.<\/p>\n<p>Mobymax- Take Reading placement test first, then practice for 10 minutes<\/p>\n<p><strong>Language<\/strong>: Students receive a packet weekly to practice language skills (Language Review Week 3). \u00a0Please have your child study, complete, and return on Friday. \u00a0Friday-quiz<\/p>\n<p><strong>Writing<\/strong>: Paragraph stories are sent weekly.
