The winner class will get pizza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:center\">Boo Bash: Monday October 28th.  $5 for entrance.  See you there! (see flyer for more details).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Spelling<\/strong>: &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is Random Spelling Week: On Random Spelling Weeks, students will need to review all &#8220;List A&#8221; and &#8220;Both&#8221; lists on all cards (1-6).  Note: it&#8217;s important to save all the spelling cards so students can study form them as needed for Random Spelling Week.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tic Tac Toe<\/strong>: use lists 1-6 for this week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Spelling Test<\/strong>: Friday<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Reading<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>for 20-30 Minutes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>~20-30 minutes \u2013In addition to reading books, students may use &nbsp;Mobymax and any reading assignment towards the 30 minutes of reading . Log your reflections\/summary in the homework page titled Reading Log.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>~<strong>Reading:<\/strong>&nbsp; For the next few weeks we will be learning  Informational text standards 3.1, 3.4, and 3.5<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> RI. 3.1 Ask and answer questions to demonstrate understanding of a text, referring explicitly to the text as the basis for the answers.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>RI. 3.4 Determine the meaning of general academic and domain-specific words and phrases in a text relevant to a&nbsp;<em>grade 3 topic or subject area<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>RI.  Use text features and search tools (e.g., key words, sidebars, hyperlinks) to locate information relevant to a given topic efficiently. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Start writing or type \/ to choose a block<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp;Language Arts:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students study grammar&nbsp;and language review Monday-Thursday.&nbsp; Study guides comes home Thursday and the quiz will be Friday. Skills include: abstract\/concrete nouns, pronouns, context clues, editing, plural nouns end in (ch, sh, ss, x).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Math<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <strong>OBJECTIVE OF TOPIC A<\/strong>: 1 Explore time as a continuous measurement using a stopwatch. 2 Relate skip-counting by 5 on the clock and telling time to a continuous measurement model, the number line. 3 Count by five and one on the number line as a strategy to tell time to the nearest minute on the clock. 4 Solve word problems involving time intervals within 1 hour by counting backwards and forwards using a number line and clock. 5 Solve word problems involving time intervals within an hour by adding and subtracting on the number line. <br><strong>Homework<\/strong>:  pages will be assigned daily from the succeed book.   Sometimes, homework will also be in the weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Math using Technology: Zearn and Mobymax <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Social Studies<\/strong>:What is a geographer, what is a state, and what city do you live in. Study the vocabulary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Science<\/strong>: Forces-push, pull, and balanced forces.Paragraph<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Snacks<\/strong>: Thanks for providing your child a healthy snack.
