{"id":1142,"date":"2018-09-24T09:00:58","date_gmt":"2018-09-24T13:00:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/shakarchi\/?p=1142"},"modified":"2018-09-21T10:58:30","modified_gmt":"2018-09-21T14:58:30","slug":"1142","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/shakarchi\/2018\/09\/24\/1142\/","title":{"rendered":"News Letter September 24-28"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong><em>Good Morning: hope you had a wonderful weekend!<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Spelling<\/strong>: \u00a0List #2 skill \u2013 Vowel Teams<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><em><strong>Spelling Homework<\/strong> : <\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><em>Each week your child will add a spelling card to this collection.\u00a0 Students will study List A or List B for the week, depending on pretest results.\u00a0 All students will need to study the words in &#8220;both&#8221; section.\u00a0 \u00a0 There will be 5 content words added as well\u00a0for a total of 20 words.<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Tic-Tac-Toe: Students will use the same board for the first nine weeks.\u00a0 They will choose three squares\u00a0 to complete and hand in on Friday.\u00a0 Have fun \ud83d\ude42<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Spelling Test<\/strong>: Friday<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Reading<\/strong>:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">~20-30 minutes \u2013In addition to reading books, students may use \u00a0Mobymax, \u00a0Myon, any reading assignment towards \u00a0the 30 minutes of reading .<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">~<strong>Reading:<\/strong>\u00a0Asking and answering questions and story elements. I will start sending a reading log and reading comprehension weekly along with comprehension questions for fiction and nonfiction.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Education City: New website-students have their username and password on their planner.\u00a0 It is the yellow paper.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><b>\u00a0Language Arts: <\/b>Students study grammar\u00a0and language review Monday-Thursday.\u00a0 Study guide comes home Thursday and the quiz will be Friday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Math<\/strong>:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Social Studies<\/strong>:What is a geographer, what is a state, and what city do you live in.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Snacks<\/strong>: Thanks for providing your child a healthy snack.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Mrs. Shakarchi and students in room 217.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Contact Email: shakara@dearbornschools.org<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Good Morning: hope you had a wonderful weekend!
