{"id":495,"date":"2015-02-05T13:04:20","date_gmt":"2015-02-05T18:04:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/secondaryhonorschoir\/?p=495"},"modified":"2015-02-05T13:04:20","modified_gmt":"2015-02-05T18:04:20","slug":"attendance-policy-please-review","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/secondaryhonorschoir\/2015\/02\/05\/attendance-policy-please-review\/","title":{"rendered":"Attendance Policy &#8211; Please review"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Secondary Honors Choir Attendance Policy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hello, everyone!\u00a0 While looking over our attendance, I felt I needed to review the policy to make sure everyone understands how important attendance is and your commitment to musical excellence.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rehearsal time:<\/strong>\u00a0 Rehearsal <strong>BEGINS <\/strong>at 3:50 pm and <strong>ends <\/strong>at 5:05 pm. It is expected that students are in the choir room and ready to sing by 3:50 pm. \u00a0\u00a0If there is a transportation issue, please email me and let me know ahead of time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Absences:<\/strong> Students are allowed <strong>two absences <\/strong>per semester.\u00a0 \u00a0If a student is going to be absent, please email Ms. Pegouske so it can be marked excused.\u00a0 \u00a0There are cases where there is an extenuating circumstance and I am very understanding.\u00a0 I need to make sure families are communicating with me.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sports:<\/strong>\u00a0 In the past, we have made accommodations for students to be in sports and honors choir.\u00a0 It has not worked out well.\u00a0 It is more important for a student to make a full commitment, either to the sport or honors choir.
