I am going to compare and contrast these two holidays.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">First, The Day of the Dead and Halloween share the same day; October 31, except The Day of the Dead lasts until November second. \u00a0Similarly, The Day of the Dead and Halloween both use a lot of pumpkins and skulls for food and symbols. Also, The Day of the Dead celebrates family that is dead and Halloween celebrates the afterlife of death.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Unlike Halloween, The Day of the Dead came from 2,500 to 3,000 years ago, but Halloween started 2,000 years ago. \u00a0However, The Day of the Dead was created in Mexico and Halloween was created in Ireland. Still, The Day of the Dead is when you go to a graveyard to put out candles, flowers, and food for the dead. \u00a0On Halloween, you dress up in costumes and go to other people\u2019s houses for candy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These are my three similarities and differences. \u00a0It\u2019s nice to know Halloween was created in Ireland and The Day of the Dead was created in Mexico. \u00a0This is how Halloween and The Day of the Dead are the same and different.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/library.kissclipart.com\/20180930\/gaq\/kissclipart-frida-kahlo-paintings-dia-de-los-muertos-clipart-f-1a6fa3fa116d3103.jpg\" alt=\"Image result for day of the dead clipart free\" width=\"199\" height=\"249\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How are The Day of the Dead and Halloween the same and different? \u00a0I know some of their similarities and differences.
