I would like to thank all the families who attended our Open House on Thursday. \u00a0 It was nice to be able to meet everyone and see the children excited to show you all around our room and school.<\/p>\n

A special thank you to Lilly Michalkiewicz and Olivia Dunleavy’s families who purchased books for our classroom library from the Scholastic bookfair. \u00a0The students are very excited to have new books in our library and so am I!!!!! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

On Monday September 18, 2017 we will be going to the library for the first time. \u00a0the students are able to check out one book. \u00a0We will be keeping our books from the library in our book boxes in our classroom and they will not be going home.<\/p>\n

This week the students will be having a hearing exam done by Wayne County during the school day. \u00a0If there are any concerns the hearing technician will contact you.<\/p>\n

Also, on Friday September 22, 2017 there is NO SCHOOL only for Young Fives and Kindergarten. \u00a0The teachers will be attending a Professional Development Meeting with other Kindergarten and Young Five teachers.<\/p>\n

Please remember that we go to gym on Tuesday and Thursday and to wear gym shoes on that day. Music on Monday and Wednesday and Art on Tuesday and Media on Friday.<\/p>\n

Thank you to all who helped in putting snack in a separate bag then from their lunch bags. \u00a0This has been a BIG help!<\/p>\n

This week we will be celebrating our tenth day of school with a number party. \u00a0Also, we will be working on writing and recognizing our first and last names with different activities. \u00a0We will also be practicing our social skills. \u00a0Please remind the students about being well behaved and listening at school. \u00a0If they hear it from you and also hear it from me at school it will start to click for them. \u00a0Also, our prize box comes out on Fridays and it also can be on other days too. \u00a0Remind them that we have to earn to go there with good listening skills.<\/p>\n
