Weekly Update: Dec. 4 – 8

I hope everyone is doing well and had a nice weekend. This week:

  • This week in math we will be completing module 2 lesson 19, quiz tomorrow, then lessons 20-22. Next week we will take our end of module 2 test.
  • Several students are forgetting their book bags. Book bags go home every Monday with two new books. Students should read the books each day at home. They are due back to school every Friday.
  • Remember, every Tuesday is an early release day. Student dismissal is at 2:25.
  • Students need a water bottle and a healthy snack everyday.
  • It’s that time of year. There are many germs going around and several students are coughing, sneezing, blowing their noses, etc. Please reinforce at home that students should turn away from anyone and cough and/or sneeze in their elbow. After blowing their nose students should wash their hands or get hand sanitizer. We try our best to keep germs away and reinforcing this at home is very helpful.
  • Going home today is a dental form. Please read it carefully, fill it out completely front and back and return it to school by December 14 if you’d like your child to participate.
  • Hundreds of children’s nonfiction books will be $0.25 each at the Friends of the Library – Dearborn (FOLD) used book sale on Dec. 13. We thought this could be a good opportunity for teachers to stock their classroom libraries. Nearly all of the books that you see in the attached photo (and more not pictured) are children’s nonfiction that will be for sale. Details: Wednesday, Dec. 13 10 am – 6 pm at Henry Ford Centennial Library  16301 Michigan Ave, Dearborn, MI 48126

Enjoy your week!
