I hope that everyone had a fun and relaxing 2 weeks off of school!
\nMy break was enjoyable but I really missed the kiddos.
\nI was so excited to see them on Monday!

\n(Abrar and Jana were so excited to see each other when they returned to school!)<\/em><\/p>\n

We have had a busy week of fun and learning!<\/p>\n

We learned about the New Year.
\nWe even celebrated by having our very own New Years Eve party!
\nWe had so much fun!
\n\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"
\n<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

We learned about our new month, January.
\nWe learned new words that are associated with the month.
\nWe each picked a January word for our January class book and January writing activity.
\nFor our writing activity, we put together a sentence with the word we picked and color a picture to match.
\nWe display it in the hallway so our peers can see our great work!
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

We learned about birthdays!
\nWe read books about the different ways people celebrate their birthday and the different kinds of birthday cakes.
\nWe read a class birthday book that Ms. Bowdell created.
\nWe practiced remembering our birthdays and drew pictures of ourselves on our birthday.<\/p>\n

And then…
\nwe celebrated Abrar’s 8th birthday! \ud83d\ude42
\n\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a>

Tomorrow we will learn about Martin Luther King Jr. and how we can be kind to others.<\/p>\n
