I\u00a0 hope you had a wonderful Labor Day weekend break\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/i1.wp.com\/www.ageratingjuju.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Happy-Labor-Day-2018-International-Labour-Day.jpg?fit=1060%2C629&amp;ssl=1\" width=\"268\" height=\"159\" \/><\/p>\n<p>6th graders have\u00a0 made it through their first week of school and are already showing\u00a0 progress with<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>arriving to class on time<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0making sure their schedule, planner &amp; identification card is with them at ALL times and<\/li>\n<li>able to make good use of their passing time between each hour<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A few suggestions are to take advantage of passing time to use the restroom, drink water, get their snack and come to class prepared for science.\u00a0 The following are required: science folder, composition notebook and supplies (<em>pencil, sharpener, tape\/glue stick\/marker\/sharpie).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Open House is scheduled for Wednesday 9\/12 at 6:00 p.m. \u00a0I look forward to seeing you then.<\/p>\n<p>This week in science we will continue to<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Review procedures and expectations<\/li>\n<li>Assemble our science journals<\/li>\n<li>Practice how to work and communicate in small groups<\/li>\n<li>Log on to Google Classroom<\/li>\n<li>If time allows, students will also have a mini quiz to assess their knowledge on :Science Syllabus along with our class procedures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Lastly, syllabus contract (half-sheet) is due this week.\u00a0 If your child child accidentally misplaced it, please click on the &#8220;Science Syllabus 18-19&#8221; link page and print the contract which is on page 3.<\/p>\n<p>Looking forward to another productive week.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/capestylemag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/happy-labor-day.jpg\" width=\"305\" height=\"229\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Savage<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome back!
