{"id":862,"date":"2018-04-29T16:56:33","date_gmt":"2018-04-29T20:56:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/savagea\/?p=862"},"modified":"2018-04-29T16:58:06","modified_gmt":"2018-04-29T20:58:06","slug":"week-31-april-30-to-may-4-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/savagea\/2018\/04\/29\/week-31-april-30-to-may-4-2018\/","title":{"rendered":"Week 31: April 30 to May 4, 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft \" src=\"https:\/\/www.michigan.gov\/images\/mde\/M-Step-Logo_473059_7.jpg\" width=\"273\" height=\"132\" \/><strong>6th Grade M-Step\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>6th graders will begin M-Step testing for <strong>ELA<\/strong> on <strong>Tuesday, May 1 during their 2nd hour block!<\/strong>\u00a0 Best of luck to you and always remember to<em><strong> read the directions, questions and responses 2-3 times<\/strong><\/em> before making a response.\u00a0 There are a few tips I would like to share in addition to the latter.\u00a0 Please encourage your child to do their BEST, have a good night&#8217;s sleep, and remember to take 2-3 deep breaths and think positive thoughts. Please review some additional tips below that our school website shared with you a few weeks earlier.<\/p>\n<table style=\"height: 324px;\" width=\"498\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><b>Before Test Tips<\/b><\/td>\n<td><b>During Test Tips<\/b><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<ul>\n<li>Have a positive attitude. \u00a0Tell yourself, \u201cI will do my best on this test.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Go to sleep at a reasonable time to get a good night\u2019s rest the night before the test.<\/li>\n<li>Wake up early enough to avoid rushing to get ready for school.<\/li>\n<li>Eat a healthy breakfast.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<ul>\n<li>Relax, take a deep breath, and think positive thoughts, \u201cI am going to do well.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Listen carefully to directions.<\/li>\n<li>Ready each question carefully. \u00a0Identify key words.
