they will also be given time in class to revise and re-test.\u00a0<em><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.maryville-schools.org\/cms\/lib\/TN01916237\/Centricity\/Domain\/773\/heat%20loss%20insulation%204.JPG\" width=\"258\" height=\"193\" \/><\/em><\/li>\n<li>Some of the material students might be in need of :\u00a0Insulator\/Conducting materials (<em>students bring in these items)<\/em>: thin wood, cardboard, styrofoam,\u00a0 plastic wrap, aluminum foil (<em>abundant amount available in the classroom<\/em>) .<\/li>\n<li>Per group<em>&#8230;students might need to bring\u00a0<\/em>hot glue guns,\u00a0hot glue gun glue sticks<\/li>\n<li><em>Possible additions: saran wrap for windows<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>We will relate what we discovered from our mini thermal energy labs we have completed in the past few weeks.<\/li>\n<li>I will also review the 3 methods of thermal energy transfer (radiation, conduction, convection) as I post the lecture powerpoint on Google Classroom.<\/li>\n<li><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/sciencenetlinks.com\/media\/filer_thumbnails\/2011\/10\/17\/bhm.jpg__225x1000_q85.jpg\" width=\"225\" height=\"170\" \/>In honor of African American History month I will be introducing a fun project for students to research a scientist then report their findings in an informational poster, powerpoint, or video.\u00a0 They will be given a week to work on it.\u00a0 Further directions will be posted on Google Classroom {Due on Monday 3\/5\u00a0 for B-Day students , and on Tuesday 3\/6\u00a0 for A-Day students} .<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I will be absent this Tuesday due to a scheduled\u00a0 conference.\u00a0 African American project assignment will be posted on Google Classroom for students to work on.\u00a0 In addition to the project,\u00a0 students will also have a formative assignment to work on independently.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Have a great week everyone.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Savage \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome Back!\u00a0\u00a0 I hope you had a restful and memorable break and are looking forward to the upcoming Spring and warmer weather as we transition from February to March.\u00a0 I am looking forward to the roller-skating party in Lincoln Park this Tuesday, from 6-8 pm.\u00a0 I hope to see you there. &nbsp;
