{"id":555,"date":"2017-04-09T09:45:38","date_gmt":"2017-04-09T13:45:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/savagea\/?p=555"},"modified":"2017-04-09T09:46:04","modified_gmt":"2017-04-09T13:46:04","slug":"week-of-april-10th-to-april-13th","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/savagea\/2017\/04\/09\/week-of-april-10th-to-april-13th\/","title":{"rendered":"Week of April 10th to April 13th"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome back everyone and I hope you had a wonderful and restful Spring Break.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pointers:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>There is no school on Friday April 14, 2017.<\/li>\n<li>6th graders will be attending an assembly tomorrow April 10 during their first hour.<\/li>\n<li>Every Wednesday students are encouraged to dress up professionally in recognition of &#8220;Dress for Success Day&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>New Seating Chart will be shared with students this week.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>This week in science&#8230;.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Test and &#8220;ERC&#8221; essays were graded and posted online.<\/li>\n<li>The Energy &#8220;ERC&#8221; essay was marked as an extra credit summative assignment for this marking period.<\/li>\n<li>I will go over the test and students will get a chance to share their essay with their peers in class. Many students did a phenomenal job linking their Evidence-Reasoning-Claim &#8220;ERC&#8221; to their essay and further explaining their knowledge about Mechanical energy and how it surrounds us and part of our everyday lives.<\/li>\n<li>We will finalize our conversation about Energy this week as we further explore how energy is transformed to power everyday objects around us such as a ceiling fan, hot air balloon, hair dryer and more.<\/li>\n<li>Homework and lecture powerpoint will be posted on Google Classroom. \u00a0Students are responsible to review the powerpoint and submit homework on time.<\/li>\n<li>I am attaching a link to my planbook : \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/planbook.com\/planbook.html?t=1247346&amp;k=savage-science\">https:\/\/planbook.com\/planbook.html?t=1247346&amp;k=savage-science<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Have a great week and stay energized .<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Savage<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome back everyone and I hope you had a wonderful and restful Spring Break.
