{"id":534,"date":"2017-02-12T16:35:08","date_gmt":"2017-02-12T21:35:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/savagea\/?p=534"},"modified":"2017-02-12T16:35:08","modified_gmt":"2017-02-12T21:35:08","slug":"week-of-february-13-to-february-17-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/savagea\/2017\/02\/12\/week-of-february-13-to-february-17-2017\/","title":{"rendered":"Week of February 13 to February 17, 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last week we celebrated the success of 3-B since the grew the most in their science NWEA from the Fall to the Winter. \u00a0Tomorrow, we will celebrate 3-A for earning the most dojo points in the last marking period. \u00a0We will have cake in class during 3rd hour tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday, February 15 \u00a0is a late start this week, which means the bell will ring at 8:50 instead of 7:50. \u00a0Students will follow the late-start schedule for Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Another reminder is a reminder that every Wednesday is &#8220;Dress for Success Day&#8221; and every Friday is &#8220;School Spirit Day&#8221;. \u00a0We encourage ALL to dress up for those days although it isn&#8217;t a mandatory choice.<\/p>\n<p>If you child knows how to play Chess or wants to learn, they could sign up with Ms. Poisson (Room12) where they meet 3 days a week or inquire with her through email at <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">poissom@dearbornschools.org \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Lastly, if your child needs help with homework or is struggling in a subject please inquire about after-school tutoring on Tuesdays and Thursday 3:00 pm-4:30 p.m with Ms. Hammoud or they could ask their advisory teacher for a form to complete.<\/p>\n<p>This week:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We will take time to learn about prominent African American Scientists in honor of Black History Month and<\/li>\n<li>Continue to investigate thermal energy transfer through radiation, conduction, and convection by cooking popcorn using all 3 methods.<\/li>\n<li>All projects, assignments and bellwork are due no later than Friday 2\/17\/2017.<\/li>\n<li>No homework during mid-winter Break which begin on Monday 2\/20 to Friday 2\/24.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A copy of my lesson plans are attached below. \u00a0Have a great week!<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/planbook.com\/planbook.html?t=1247346&#038;k=savage-science<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last week we celebrated the success of 3-B since the grew the most in their science NWEA from the Fall to the Winter. \u00a0Tomorrow, we will celebrate 3-A for earning the most dojo points in the last marking period. \u00a0We will have cake in class during 3rd hour tomorrow.
