{"id":1272,"date":"2020-03-01T21:28:12","date_gmt":"2020-03-02T02:28:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/savagea\/?p=1272"},"modified":"2020-03-01T21:28:24","modified_gmt":"2020-03-02T02:28:24","slug":"week-of-march-2-to-march-6","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/savagea\/2020\/03\/01\/week-of-march-2-to-march-6\/","title":{"rendered":"Week of March 2 to March 6"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Good evening! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last week in Science <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students created an informational poster or a slideshow to portray what they learned about the African American scientist they chose to research. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>This week in Science&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li> Students will take part in a Gallery Walk as they present their findings and\/or listen to their colleagues African American Scientist research. <\/li><li>We will discuss new findings or questions students had after the African American Scientist Gallery Walk. <\/li><li>(Unit 2: Lesson 3)We will continue investigating what certain characteristics living things have as students complete 2 labs this week&#8230;. <ul><li>yeast lab<\/li><li>Microscope slides lab <\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Lesson 3 Question:<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>How do we know if something is living?<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Lesson 3 <strong>Gotta Have Checklist:<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>How living things have certain characteristics that non living things do not have.<\/li><li>How all living things are made of cells.<\/li><li>How the number of cells can vary between organisms.<\/li><li>How and why different tools are needed to study cells.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p> **Progress reports will be sent home this week for students receiving a C- or less in Science. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lastly, our wonderful PTSA will  host a pancake dinner on Friday March 6, 2020  from 5:30pm to 7:30 p.m.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do not forget to spring your clock forward on Sunday 3\/8 ! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Have a great week! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mrs. Savage <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Good evening!
