Thank you to the parents and guardians who made it to our conferences on Monday 11\/18 and last Wednesday 11\/13.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This week in Science: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.sciencelearn.org.nz\/images\/images\/000\/000\/658\/embed\/Water_in_its_three_states_of_matter.jpg?1522295989\" alt=\"\" width=\"275\" height=\"183\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>A-Day and B-Day students were assessed on lesson 4.  They also completed a written assignment, labeled &#8220;6.1.4 Summary Table&#8221;.  Students included evidence they collected from both labs  they completed last week.  Afterward, they used the lab evidence to answer the lesson&#8217;s main question &#8221; Why does water move differently in different states?&#8221;  Lastly, they connected what they learned to the first lessons&#8217; Challenge Scenario (Forest Lot to Present Lot).  <\/li><li>A-Day students created a pictorial model of present day scenery including scientific facts they learned about water transfer to our nearest stream and to the atmosphere.  <\/li><li>Students synthesized\u00a0 the information they learned to consider how water moves on a global scale through the water cycle.<\/li><li>We started new lab investigations to answer Lesson 5&#8217;s questions,<ul><li> How does water change state, from solid to liquid to gas?\u00a0<\/li><li>How does this affect the water system? <\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Students will be sharing their findings this week and next week with the class to answer lesson 5 questions above.  They will also complete the lesson summary table with their 7 o&#8217;clock partner before sharing their findings.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Have a good and safe remainder of the week.
