{"id":1114,"date":"2019-03-17T22:19:58","date_gmt":"2019-03-18T02:19:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/savagea\/?p=1114"},"modified":"2019-03-17T22:19:58","modified_gmt":"2019-03-18T02:19:58","slug":"week-28-march-18-2019-to-march-22-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/savagea\/2019\/03\/17\/week-28-march-18-2019-to-march-22-2019\/","title":{"rendered":"Week 28: March 18, 2019 to March 22, 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The power of TEAMWORK was visible in the Science classroom last week!<\/p>\n<p>Students worked diligently\u00a0 to assemble their Thermal Energy Efficient Prototype (A&amp;B-Day), work and complete their CER\u00a0 and as a team complete their argumentative writing to support their claim!<\/p>\n<p>I couldn\u2019t be more proud of their hard work and dedication.\u00a0 Keep it up 6th graders and stay curious!<\/p>\n<p>This week in the 6th Grade science classroom &#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Students will take part in a gallery walk as they defend how their prototype home minimizes thermal energy loss from data they have been collecting.<\/li>\n<li>Teams will continue to test the temperature of their Energy Efficient Home (<em>Floor, Middle, Roof<\/em>) using an infrared thermometer.<\/li>\n<li>Students will differentiate between conduction, convection and radiation using a 3 circle venn diagram.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.almanac.com\/sites\/default\/files\/styles\/primary_image_in_article\/public\/spring-1210194_1280.jpg?itok=SAzwzVq8\" width=\"372\" height=\"263\" \/>Have a great week.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Savage<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The power of TEAMWORK was visible in the Science classroom last week!
