Objective<\/strong>: \u00a0I can write a summary by observing the \u00a0exemplar application of the first three sentences by a volunteer student, listening to expectations explained about the rubric, and \u00a0completing it on the sentence-frame worksheet with my list of 15 main points.<\/p>\n

BW<\/strong>: \u00a0Students will complete the blanks for the Summary Worksheet of Parts 1, 2, and 3 of “Land.”<\/p>\n

Activities<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

  1. \u00a0Share Out: \u00a0A volunteer will complete the fill-in-the-blanks for the first three sentence-frames in the worksheet for Summary 1, 2, and 3.<\/li>\n
  2. Promethean Board: \u00a0A short explanation of the rubric scores from 4-1will be given using key words in it like “adept” and “adequate.”<\/li>\n
  3. Independent Study: \u00a0Students will complete the summary\u00a0using the given sentence-frame worksheet.<\/strong> \u00a0They should apply their lists of 15 main points.<\/li>\n
  4. SSR: \u00a0Students will continue their 4-Column Inference Journals begun yesterday when they have completed their summaries. \u00a0They should raise their hands for a starting point.<\/li>\n
  5. Submission: \u00a0All students<\/strong> must turn in their given summary worksheets<\/strong>, list of 15 main points<\/strong>, and their rubrics<\/strong> stapled together with a name, date, and hour at the top of the given summary worksheet.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
