Activities:<\/p>\n

  1. \u00a0Share Out: \u00a0Identify one misbehavior. \u00a0Have you observed it in one of your classes? \u00a0What problem for the learning did it cause?<\/li>\n
  2. Skim\/Read: \u00a0Identify 10 roadblocks in “Having your smartphone…” by skimming through the text. \u00a0Box each one.<\/li>\n
  3. Identify the claim statement: \u00a0Turn the title into a question and read at a normal rate to find the answer or the claim statement.<\/li>\n
  4. Share Out: \u00a0What is your answer? \u00a0Does it answer the question posed by the title?<\/li>\n
  5. Model: \u00a0The teacher will model fixing the roadblock for “fluid intelligence.”<\/li>\n
  6. Think Pair\/Share: \u00a0Students will fix four more roadblocks.<\/li>\n
  7. Share Out: \u00a0How did you fix the roadblock for “cognitive”? etc. \u00a0What strategy did you use? \u00a0List each strategy during discussion.<\/li>\n
