Activities<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

  1. \u00a0Share Out:\u00a0 What is the first step? Second? etc.<\/li>\n
  2. Use the 4-Step process for today’s vocabulary:\u00a0 curriculum(n), retain(v), and profanity(n).<\/li>\n
  3. Whole Class:\u00a0 Explanations of guidelines and make-up work.<\/li>\n
  4. \u00a0 Skim Read:\u00a0 Turn the title into a question and find the author’s claim.\u00a0 Underline it and write “Claim” near the sentence.<\/li>\n
  5. Promethean Board:\u00a0 Teacher will demonstrate solving a roadblock using context clues and demonstrate making connections between main points and the question of title.<\/li>\n
  6. Think Pair\/Share:\u00a0 Students will consult each other to make a main point connection and solve one roadblock.<\/li>\n
